On tap at the Gilded Otter. Pours a hazy bright yellow with a medium white head that falls off quickly. Spicy banana and clove on the nose, and a touch of lemon. On the thin side of medium, nice lemon and banana and yeast flavors. Finishes with a light touch of yeast and banana. Drinkable.

Sampled @ Otter: Nice Heffe! The pour is the hazy yellow mustard you’d expect, leaving a thick frothy head. The nose is again right on... bananas and clove. The florals continue through the taste, bananas dominate but there is room for some biscuit as well, maybe wheats.

Second beer with lunch today. Draft appears and is a Deep, hazy yellow, early murky. Under carbonated and nearly flat. A dusting of a head dissaperas mere moments after being set in front of me. No banana. Lots of orange peel and coriander/cloviness in second half and finish. Disapointing.

Sample at the brewpub: Slightly hazy light golden pour. The aroma is all banana; sweet and ester-drenched. Light bodied with a banana filled flavor as well. Papery also, with stale lemon peel in the middle and more banana into the finish. I’m tired of average, ester-bombarded, one-dimensional interpretations of this style.

sampler @ brewery - oddly enough, this was easily my fav from the sampler tray; cloudy and pale gold; aromas of bubblegum, wheat and lemons; rich body and plenty of wheat flavor; very sweet and terrific finish; yummy

Pit stop on my way back from BCTC. Color is just misty yellow (not as cloudy as I like), with a bit of clarity. Aroma is lemon-centric with light esters following (light banana and bubblegum). Taste is actually malt driven with soem lemon and a bit of lemon acidity. Aftertaste is light lemon and slightly sweet. Average hefe.

Pours a hazy yellow color with a ring of white lace. Good aroma of banana and bubble-gum. The fruity banana esters are well present in the flavor as well as the bubble-gumy yeast. The body is medium with a creamy texture and soft carbonation.
