Commercial Description:
Springtime in Germany the beverage of choice is a strong lager. We are no different with the tapping of our May beer to celebrate spring. This strong lager is light in color with a complex malt flavor and a crisp richness that quenches the palate.

On tap at the Gilded Otter. Pours a clear golden amber with a thin white head. Aromas are full of sweet malt and fruit. Medium bodied with more sweet malt. Finishes with a light grain lager style finish with some light fruit notes.

At the brewpub this past Saturday for lunch. Hard to get a good read on the nose since it was pollen time in New Paltz this weekend. good carbonation with up fron hoppiness that transitions to a well rounded, smooth body for the last half of the mouthfeel. So nice I rewarded myself with two. Went well with the grilled chicken sandwich. Re-rate..05/09..... Semi-hazy amber with a light film from lackluster carbonation. A light malt nose leads into the Medium minus body that boarders upon watery. A bit of fruitiness. strong backbone of graininess. a quick finish...not the maibock I recall last year. I remember more of a balances and clear body with a fair ammount more force behind it. Down .3.

This maibock was a nice example of a very good summer style beer. It was pure yellow and had a light head. The flavors where in the palate and then held some length.

(Draught) Pours a medium, white head with a cloudy golden body. Slightly lactic nose with some malt undertones. Tastes of caramel malt. Linguring milkiness. Nice and refreshing.

Faint sweetness in the aroma with confident peppery hops...Little citrus fruit commingling with the spiciness...A hop-accented maibock which could obviously use some fresh malt to balance it all out...

Mild sweet malt aroma - a bit lactic. Hazy yellow straw colour with thin white fully diminishing head. Malty flavour with some fruitiness and a touch of spice character. Mouthfeel is decent but unexceptional. Clean and well-brewed but a bit simple. On tap at TapNY festival.
