Info: 250ml bottle, 17/2-2008, 186/500 CapedBrewsader (181), Brasschaat, Belgium Jun 17, 2008 25cl bottle at home: Brilliant polished gold with a creamy tall, slightly off-white head. Lively looking carbonation. Great lacing and longevity. Very good looking beer. Most raters have given it a 3/5 for appearance, but from what I see in my glass, I can not fault it in any way. Very sweet pale malt aroma with a tinge of refined sugar and peppery, metallic hops. light clove. Lightly bready. Flavor is at first of bread and light colored malt. Followed by some banana. As the banana comes in so does the spice. Spicy hop and yeast character is driven through by the CO2. Bitterness towards end. Finishes dry on slightly old hop note. Thin body. All in all I expected a very poor industrialized beer but I was somewhat surprised. This would make a good poker beer. MiP (4927), Flensburg, Germany Oct 3, 2007 Bottle, 5.1%. Caramelly, fruity, slightly spicy aroma. Sparkling, clear chestnut colour. Big stable tan head. The flavour is good, a little sweet with some caramel. Ends with a little bitterness. Flavourful but easily drinkable. daniele (721), Italy Sep 10, 2007 ambrata buona schiuma persistente intensi profumi piacevoli fruttati e una lieve nota di erbaceo in bocca meno intrigante DruncanVeasey (1612), Burbage, Leicestershire, England Aug 24, 2007 Honeyish amber with a persistent collar of froth. Leffe-ish wafts of banana, apple, and sweet pepperiness. Wheat, vanilla, toffee apple. Nothing serious, but a pleasantly mellow ale.
