Thanks to Jk for sharing this rare treat. A sour nose with sweet caramel notes. Malty flavor with caramel and apples. Slightly funky with a sour finish.

Bottle. Pours a copper colour with a big off-white head. Nose is malty gueuze sparkle, some alcohol and warm malts at the end of the sniff. Mouth is sparkly coating sweet lemon icing, apples and some champagne, but just as it’s getting good, it gets sweet. A cocktease of a beer. Palate is sweet but tangy, good, but i wish it could be allowed to continue to a sour end...

Heavy malty and white wine aroma. Average, frothy, off-white initial apperance. Fair lacing. Mostly diminishing longevity. Clear red brown body. Heavy bitter flavor and a long finish duration. Medium palate, watery texture and lively carbonation.

Bottle at ZBF 2008. Clear dark red/brown - white head. Aroma: wet dog, light sourness, light malty. Taste: Mushrooms, champion, brown sugar, light light cherries, high sweetness. Not very pleasant.

Deep amber with tiny head. Sweet malty aroma with light sour brett notes. Same goes for the somewhat sweet flavor. I will never learn to appreciate sweetened lambic...

Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Powerfull nice complex aroma. Moderate sweet and acetic flavor. Well-balanced. Average finish. Oily palate. Pleasent to drink also for people who normally dislike lambics.

2008-03-01. Mahogany-chestnut brown body with a waifish beige head. Modest aroma, muted sournes over barely there fruit. Simple sweetness in the flavour, apple juice like fruitiness. Extremely muted notes of hor or barnyard in the background if you look for them. (6+) Average palate. Pleasantly drinkable - I can see having this with a meal - but not complex or assertive enough to score more highly.
Bottle at Zythos Festival, St. Niklaas
