Aromas were burnt, carmalized sugar and a plum like tartness in the background. Flavors were sweet up front with only a little of that roasted caramel flavor. Tartness took over in the middle, with a nice sweet finish. I like this style. Now off to Belgium to have it on tap like it should be... right?... Someday...

It pours a dark, hazy amber color and has a small sticky head. Aroma is root cane sugar sweetness and light citric molasses, which represents the lambic portion of the beer. Taste is a lot less sweet and a lot of "simple" lambic that is lightly wild and citrus. Faint acidity, otherwise a light medium body. Very enjoyable for a Faro. 375mL bottle, elongated thin Ommegang 10th Anniversary goblet glass. blankboy (3250), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Pours a deep amber with a small diminishing off-white head. Aroma and flavour of caramel malt, wood, funky yeast and light spices. Some mild sourness in the taste. Average bodied. Very good stuff! garthicus (1309), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 24, 2008 Shared with Harry and Blankboy - Nice amber colour; Tangy cider aroma with pepper too. Acidic bitter flavour, not overpowering but certainly not offensive. Almost like a cider-beer shandy. Very enjoyable HogTownHarry (4025), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada

Shared with blankboy and garthicus, my bottle via trade with Viper666. Clear amber pour, large frothy off-white head. Love that aroma - light acidic funky yeast and over top mildly sweet ripe apple. The taste is similar, a little oxidized and sour, but still nice and fruity/yeasty. Soft, watery body, fairly still, lightly acidic in the finish. jgb9348 (2515), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 12, 2008 Great deep amber coloured body with a thinnish tan head. Aroma of sour grapes, apple cider vinegar, nuts, malt and a bit of hops - very complex for the style! Light to Medium-bodied; Acidic taste up front with a bunch of malt and hops, but fading to an appley taste with light grapes definitely noticeable. Aftertaste shows promise, with a fragrant grassy hop flavour mixed with vinegar and malt for a very complex taste. Overall, a nice complex lambic full of deep and robust flavours, but still leaving a little room for some sourness. I sampled this 375 mL split bottle purchased from Beer Mania in Bruxelles, Belgium on 30-December-2007. hellomynameis (794), Mayer, Minnesota, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 5, 2008 Sunset orange colour with a white creamy head. There is no question, this is a sour brew but it’s more of a subtle hint of sour in the nose. Green apple and some other tart like fruit with a bit of yeast. Very carbonated with some funk with sour notes that are really nice, more subtle than some of the puckering sours but it’s still there. Thanks for letting us try the style, JK!
