Sweet, dusty aroma, with honey, dried fruit, citrus and lactic acid. Ok sweet/sour flavor balance, with caramel and yogurt. Nice bitter, dry, finish, but too sweet overall.

It pours an amber colour with a off white head.
Aroma is sweet with notes of rock candy, raisin, grape, wood and fruit.
Flavour is a little watery with notes of malt, raisins, rock candy, wood and hay.
Although its not as sweet as many other faro’s its still not really my thing. Dickinsonbeer (3451), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 13, 2009 Had a few times- latest shared by Eclectic. This time eclectics bottle seemed a bit more clean than previous tastings where I have noticed more dirtiness, garbage, dms and tons of diacetyl on occasion. Aroma here is cleaned up- sweet still, brown sugar, candi sugar, caramel sweetness, honey light apple and acetaldehyde and light funk. Flavor is sweet, but not quite too sweet even for the style, light funk, some acids in the background, honey, green apple, light dms, caramel, and brown sugar- with a fake syrupy sweetness- slightly slick finish. I dont like Faro, but this wasn’t that bad for a bottled version. Madsnp (621), Odense C, Denmark
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jul 12, 2009 Bottle. Pours deep chestnut coloured with a creamy off white head. Musty aroma with notes of spices, sour fruit, wood and sugar. Spicy balsamic flavour with notes of wood and sour fruit. The finish is a little thin and watery. Overall a decent faro - not as sweet as a feared. Borresteijn (1415), Amsterdam, Netherlands
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jul 11, 2009 On tap at In de Wildeman as Platte Faro. Clear dark amber colour with a soapy white disappearing head. Aroma of blue cheese and dust. Flavour is blue cheese, some malts, acid, some brown sugar. No carbonation. Another visitor said it tasted like old monk’s sweat. I have to agree. It’s just god-awful. Beershine (2710), Where Climate Suits My Clothes, Vietnam
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 17, 2009 Bottle @ WSF. Dark coppery amber with lasting beige head. Aroma is slightly oxidized, earthy, fuzzy, musty, moldy, and woody. the palate is gentle but with pretty high carbonation. Odd flavors include lots of wood, some apple core, and earth. Not very sweet, and has lots of funk. One of the least sweet, least faro-like faros I have encountered. PJClarke (681), London, Greater London, England
