| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 6, 2009 Tap @ Bier Circus. Pours tea-brown and still. Aroma of burnt sugar. Taste is odd with the sugar and sourness. A good deal of acetone in there. Finishes yeasty. Not into this at all. kwatoko (30), Belgium
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 2, 2009 Bottle. Pours clear amber, heavy carbonation. White head that becomes thin after a while but still is quite long-lasting. Somewhat acidy aroma of good lambiek with some caramel and some coffee in the background. First taste bitter-sour with brown sugar. For a faro this one has a very nice palate:some sour from the lambiek, some sweet sugar, but also some bitterness in the aftertaste. Very nice faro! | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 21, 2009 It’s a beautiful brown-red/copper color and the head is small. The aroma has notes of sweetness, sourness, peal of citrus fruits and some cane sugar. The flavour has sweetness and sourness with notes of peal of grapefruit and oranges, a tart grapefruit that develops and some sour berries also are found. Now, I’m not a Faro specialist in any way, but I prefer the Lindemans... 2334 (had forgotten to ad this rating 2 years old) j12601 (1299), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 7, 2009 Bottle shared at Andy’s tasting. Think this one may have been from Andy, not sure though. My first Faro. Pours a hazy light brown with a thin white head. Aromas are coffee, toffee, and vanilla. Sweet, with a touch of brown sugar. Light finish with a touch of bitterness. Not even close to what I was expecting, but this was still fairly tasty. PilsnerPeter (2617), Flushing, New York, USA

Has a sweet & tart aroma of caramelized sugar, as well as Swiss cheese and moldy oxidized notes. Creamy & velvety palate. Has a smooth sugary sweetness and a papery molded note. Some cheese rind funk as well. The sugar works well in this example. gunnfryd (3592), Kristiansand, Norway
