| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 13, 2008 Bottle, from the BSF at the 2008 GBBF. Russet brown, fine off-white cap. Late autumn apple-sweet aroma, leaf piles, dusty leather chair. A bit of copper, clean wool socks, slightly off butter. More apple-butter flavor, gently sour and woody. Initially too sweet for my taste, but a few sips it seems to find its feet, and a fine cinnamon dryness outlines the edges nicely. yngwie (4974), Kristiansand, Norway

A slightly hazy copper colored beer with a fingerthick off-white head. Lovely sourish, funky and mellow nose with some sugar. Nice, sugar-sweet, fruity and lemoney flavor. Quite carbonated, sweetish yet astringent mouthfeel, and a long, sweet finish with citrus flavors. Definiately a nice one. Rating: 7-4-6-3-14-3.4. (080710)
Bottle, 37.5cl corked. Pours an almost clear, orange-golden body under a minimal off-white head. Sour, yet sugary aroma with cellar and some cork. Quite sugary flavor with some sourness, cellar and cork. Flat and dry, and finishing with sourness, sweetness and an earthy flavor. It seems the cork have left some flavor and aroma in the beer, much more than I have noticed earlier, but still it is a nice and easy to drink beer. (080926) BoBoChamp (1388), Gent, Belgium

The flavours are weird and in strange directions, at one point I even tasted pizza and tomato juice.. The big picture is sugarish sourness though with a nice wooden touch. But why on earth are there additives in my lambic?!! Weren’t the lambics supposed to be original, natural examples of Belgian brewing tradition? Ethereal (1500), London, Greater London, England
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 7, 2008 Bottle at The Rake, with renffisch, duff and harrisoni, 17th May 2008. Slightly hazy amber/orange with a persistent white head. Strong aroma of gooseberries, spices and sour apples. The apple flavour combines wonderfully with demerra sugar flavours, ably abetted by a lively palate that tickles the tongue with bubbles. Smooth and flavoursome, this is a very good Faro.
