The pour forms an off-white, pink tinted, diminutive and unimpressive head. A crystalline, crimson accented pink body is clouded by time and temperature, though it’s obviously and sadly filtered. the aroma is startling - not in a good way. Hello Smuckers raspberry jam blended with raspberry puree and simple syrup. A nice helles styled base lies underneath with light grain. Too sugary, one dimensional and awkward. The flavor is drier but too soapy. Grassy and floral perfumed notes provide a sense of balance. Light bitterness, highly focused and sharp sweetness, medium acidity and mild to moderate astringency all result in a decent but forgettable taste. Finishes sweet and lightly tart. A lightly sticky palate only serves to further highlight overkill in the sweetness dimension. Low to medium carbonation and a watery, light-medium body. Boring. Filtering just turns this into an inverse waste of fermenter space.

From hopdog. Dark pink color with a small but strong head. Cannot see through the beer. Aroma is very sweet sugar raspberry almost akin to Lindeman’s Framboise. Taste is not sweet but not sour. It is very oaky and leafy with a strong woody-raspberry flavor. Imagine if you could mix a wet forest flavor with raspberry. A lot like a Chapeau Framboise with some age on it, whether that is a complement or not, I’m not sure.375ml cork&wire, Hobgoblin tulip glass.

Shared by beastiefan2k (you’re too good to me, eugene) - hazy copper with a pinkish/purple tint and a bright white, fizzy head - very sweet, but earthy fruit aroma - the flavor is not as sweet as the aroma suggests - tart, but not sour, with strong fruit skin flavors, coupled with earth/soil and musty qualities - some dry, woody character - good, but not on par with their non-fruit lambics.

On a brief side note, I don’t think I have ever seen a label with such a shockingly bright color. In any event, poured a reddish color. Aroma is that of raspberry syrup, very jammy. The flavor continues n the theme, a bit sweet, albeit no where near as sweet as say a Lindeman’s. This one is suffering in comparison to the line-up we are plowing through.

375ml bottle (Pikkulintu, Helsinki, Lambic days 2007) Dark pink/red. Huge raspberry aroma. Also hugely raspberry taste. Not very special. Odd tastes come and go, but can’t break through the bloody raspberries.

Redbrown of color with a reddish head. An aroma of sweet raspberries, sour notes and sweet hints. A dry and sour flavor with notes of raspberries.

(Bottle, enjoyed with a very old man named rickgordon) Pours copper brown. Wild raspberries in aroma with notes of vanilla and something a bit milky in the background. Light sour with light wood tones. Undertones of strawberry cheesecake, ripe plums and apple cider. Tart raspberry flavour with notes of vanilla ice cream and strawberry cheesecake. Light wood come through in the flavour as well. Light sweet and light to medium sour. Finish is very tart and dry. Some berries and milky tones lingers. Light to medium bodied. I like.
