375ml bottle. Age unknown, most likely 2007 or 2008. Soft and dense ruby red colored body, faint haze. Light pink head, medium to large bubble size. Soft lactic nose of creamed raspberries and yogurt. Moderate amount of pungent perfume and lightly pungent strawberry sorbet when it opens up some. Soft and prickly carbonation and low, soft lactic acidity creates a sour cream and tart berry flavor up front - very soft texture and quiet presence of fruit. Light touch of sweetness in the finish, but falls somewhat flabby at the same time. Still, a nice framboise, an especially quiet and subtly nuanced one, which is quite nice with the right mood. Definitely not an intensely sour framboise, but that’s to be expected.

Bottle. Deep ruby colored with a big white head. Sweet raspberry-puree aroma with a dusty touch and almost none of the "musty basement" nose. The flavor is weak and mild with notes of sugared raspberries and marzipan. Maybe this sample wasn’t cellared enough? I didn’t find the exp. date..

Bottle, 37.5cl, corked. A golden, clear body is topped by a small off-white head. Raspberry candy in the initial aroma, then lemon, red berries, some barnyard and horseblanket and a little sweetness blends in. Really pleasant, but the aroma is a bit dull in comparison. It’s mostly on the sour side, leaving the raspberries in the background. Ok, so raspberries are quite sour, but I think there’s something missing. Maybe the barnyard isn’t obvious enough? Sour, astringent mouthfeel, and a lasting finish following the path of the initial flavor. It lacks a bit on complexity, at least flavor wise, but it’s a quite lovely one. (090327)

Red-orange in colour with a thin pink head, light lacing. The aroma is very sweet, lots of raspberries and mixed berry jam. The flavour is quite sweet buts its lacking in sourness, some tartness with an incredible amount of raspberries. Vert sweet mouthfeel, medium body, medium/high carbonation. Finishes sweet and long.

Very sweet. This was a huge difference from their gueuze, a bit of a shocker.

375ml bottle from Ølbutikken in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Opened on November 21, 2008.
