| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 26, 2008 Bottle, from Noel Cuveliers, Abele. Exciting start to this one. Uncaged the cork, started working the cork loose, and then left the bottle for a minute. Suddenly Bang! Foam! A bit of scrambling, and then eventually got things directed into a glass. The aroma was kind of elusive at first. Sweet, jammy...but there was something else at the edge of memory. Then I got it: donut! A maple glazed donut, the kind injected with fruit goo. Not elegant, but kind of fun. Flavor is more subtle than the aroma, sweet, but finds a balance with some nice dried raspberries. Softly tart finish. As a sweetened lambic I thought this was nicer than most. reakt (937), Greater London, England
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 3, 2008 Thought it odd that I’d not rated this but bought and rated a bottle @ Lowlander a couple months ago anyway, sure enough, as I randomly scrolled through my old phone I found a rate from Ealing BF last year. It’s actually quite interesting to see the difference in my rating style since then, however the scores were amusingly only 1 point different. Oh well, at least it’s in the upper echelon of lambic fruits and I can just combine the two. Red with an orangey hue, like anodized aluminum, with a thin white head. Nose is initially sweet raspberry but theres also some strawberry and lemon in there along with the usual lambic tartness and funk. Taste is much the same, sweet with a little balancing vinegar acidity and dryness. I’m not in any way upset that I’ve had another, I’m just left with a sinking feeling that I may have had rates on the old sim card that my ex absconded with, D’oh! A good way to ease myself back into to drinking. Pours reddish with a 1 finger tan head. Nice sweet nose, a bit too juicey. Taste is sweet, but refined on certain levels. Not quite sour enough for my taste. Its alright. glad to have had it. Theis (3775), Denmark

High raspberries, light synthetic, light acid, a bit like kids soda-pop, high drinkability, light white sugar. jerc (3954), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 12, 2008 2008-03-01. Bright red body with a white-pink head (3+). Sweet raspberry fruit aroma. (7+) Similar bold raspberries in the flavour, tart-sour raspberries throughout. Fruit dominates the flavour, which I actually sort of like in a framboise. (7+) Average to light palate suits the beer. Very good. Quaffable and refreshing, emphasis on the tart raspberry rather than sour lambic character. Bottle at Zythos Festival, St. Niklaas yespr (12407), Copenhagen O, Denmark

Solid raspberry aroma, dry yet fruity. Light sulphorish, dry raspberry flavour. Goes into a dry sulphorish finish. Nice. 1FastSTi (2580), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 5, 2008 Updated: Oct 15, 2008Thanks Matt. The beer pours to a reddish orange body with a thin starch white body. Spotty lacing. The aroma is just like fresh raspberry preserves. Light malt quality. The flavor is awesome. Sweet red raspberry preserves. Oh so fresh and fruity. The palate is sweet, tart, but not overly so. Very delicate. 8, 4, 8, 4, 16 = 4.0. Re-rate. Exactly the same as my notes elude to. But, I liked it better.
