Grapefruit vinegar nose with a yeasty note. Yeast, orange and straw flavour that lingers, I can still taste it now. Dry finish but quite enjoyable. Great intro for a session... 2002 37.5cl bottle from Kris Wines. Was originally worried about how things were stored at Kris Wines but considering this is 5 years old now it has clearly been well cellared. Slightly paler yellow than the black version (makes sense I guess) with a pretty stable but thin white head and the characteristic lacing. Lemon aroma with plenty of funk and a very slight sweet note not present in the other version. It does have the usual dry note that if you sniff to hard and long it makes you want to cough. Almost identical in the flavour to its bigger brother, lots of earthy barnyardy notes, plenty of straw and citrus and the pleasing hit of dry sour at the finish. Just a little softer and more chugable. Excellent start to an evening. drewbeerme (2291), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Notes of tequila and earthy wild yeast in the aroma. Acidic but not dry flavor, bitter and fruity wild yeast taste, hints of lemon and apple. Very balanced, tasty and drinkable. Fuller bodied and easier than most gueuzes. BeerBiker (1392), Kathmandu, Nepal
