Ultra delicious; grapey, brett, mandarin orange, more grape, woodsy bitterness. dry, short finish. slightly tannic texture. rather tart, just not one of the ultra sour lambics. and one of the most drinkable beers ever. fantastic. thewolf (5797), Kolding, Denmark

WOW, what a guzzler, almost exploded in my face, pouring out over the table, my laptop and lots of papers! Some key still don’t work on the laptop :o(
Well, after cleaning as well as I could... A clear orange amber with a fine, creamy off-whit head that fizzes away rather quickly. Aroma is tart, barnyard, apple and a light note of liqourice. Very dry and nice mouthfeel. Flavour is lightly tart, fine fruitiness. Pleasant and a good gueuze, just not a match on the black label. skoisirius (584), Seattle, Washington, USA

This is definitely one of those "you have to like soy type flavor" beers. Already wafting up from the glass, the age on the beer was very present. Somewhere beneath the age without yeast, a lovely little gueze sat, and could be picked at with some work. Tiny citrus and small hints of smashed bananas were able to be picked out, even while in the midst of the soyishly thick body. Overall, a very interesting experience that I’m stoked to have. Not something I’d drink all the time though. Doppelganger (1353), Dry County, Arkansas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 18, 2008 Bottle, from Noel Cuveliers, Abele. Warm copper, dense pale tan head. Spiced bread aroma, complimented by a dry salt ocean breeze, a little fruity date sugar. Gentle lemon rind tartness, apple skin, salty, clean, a little husky wheat. Not a patch on the Black Label, but a fine gueze anyhow, and impressive that it has survived the filtering with a great deal of character still remaining.
