Girardin Gueuze White Label

[I had the white label version] The color is a hazy amber and it has a fine beige head. The flavor is sweet and sour with the distinct notes of wild fermentation. The flavor is lovely acidic with strong notes of lemon though without being sour. The end is dry and the wild fermentation very present. A very fresh beer - would love this to cool off in the summer heat. All in all a lovely gueze.

(Bottle 25 cl) Pretty amber colour with a tall head (a bit unusual for a gueuze). Rather sophisticated nose of...."sour nuts"? All the lovely, complex gueuze flavours are here: shipyard, ahem sorry - barnyard, mold, sweat - all trditionel delicacies.... But my stomach always goes bananas after gueuze... Bring in the Lanzo - a whole bucketful please. 221199

37.5 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a white head, quickly disappearing but leaving a nice lacing. Dry sweet classica and complex geuze aroma of apples, wood, mould, barnyard. Citric flavoured, very nicely citric sour. Only downside is that this beer is more brutal sour and mouldy in flavour and lacks bit of balance compared to Belle-Vue selection lambic. Otherwise a very nice treat. Dry woody and apple sour finish. Yummy.

Bottled. Clear golden, small head. Aroma of horseblanket and herbal spicves. Lemony with the acidity balanced by some sweetness. Some stale hops in a juicy finish. The bottle tried lacks the freshness and complexity of the very best gueuzes.

Bottle. 37.5 cl. Clear amber orange color with a average fizzy fair lacing mostly diminishing off-white head. Aroma is moderate yeasty, lemon, vinegar. Flavor is moderate sweet and light acetic with a verage duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. Nicely sour aroma with some wood notes. Clear golden colour, small white head. Nice sourness, more wood in flavour. Dusty? Sherry aftertaste.

Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is sour fruit, wood and a lot of barnyard. Flavour is sweetish sour fruits along with some wood and earth. More carbonation than in most gueuzes, but still very smooth. Wellbalanced and quite sour thing. I like.

Bottle. Clear amber coloured with a medium sized white head. Light acidc aroma with lots of wood and notes of apples. Light acidic flavour of fruits and wood.
