Sweet smooth strawberry taste, may have oak, right on the finish you have residual sweetness showing cherry, alcohol was hardly noticeable, medium body. Musty aroma of strawberries and flat cinnamon. maeib (4760), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England

A dark red coloured lambic with a lovely large lasting off-whte head. The aroma is dry and fruity. Cherry notes but also a little toffee or marzipan. The taste too is dry and lacking acidity. Excellent cherry fruits without ever tasting cheap and poppy. Needs extra sourness to be really good but still tasty and satisfying.Score 3.6 Subsequent rating scored 3.1. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 8, 2006 (Bottled) Clear cherry red color with a small, lemonadey head. Dryish cherry aroma with strawberry hints. Fruity, moderately dry cherry (stone) flavor. Medium-bodied, dry and medium-carbonated palate. A very decent kriek, but not quite as pleasant as it could be. rederic (1811), montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 29, 2006 Hazy deep reddish hue, with a frothy white-pinkyish head, sweet tart cherry nose, hint of wet oakiness, marzepin and cinnamon spiciness, light sourness in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a mild fruity cherry tartness character, with a sourness note, and an almondy cherry pit accent, fresh cherryish acidity, mustiness, leading towards a cherry oakiness finish. This kriek is more on a sweetess side and commercial than the traditional kriek lambic. Svesse (2683), Hässelby, Sweden

Nose is fruity with cherries, wild berries and some almond. A bit shy, however. Taste is fruity, with cherries and some almond, hints of sweetness as well. Nice balance and easy to drink, but lacking the complexity of some of the drier krieks. ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA

Consumed at Het Waterhuis, Gent, May 2006 Peppery, meaty scented kriek with some artificial cherry scents, mostly metallic, and bloody and meaty scented as well. Tastes the same, basically, with more pronounced tin flavors, which is not good at all. Palate is a bit oily, moderately thick, and the acidity is subdued, but still retains something close to a “true” sourness.
