Aroma is undescribable ... the closest I can get is that it’s kinda like the elephant house in zoo. Nice sour cherry taste, right down my alley. I am tempted to give this top grade, but I’ll refrain since I know there are even better krieks out there :-) gnoff (3574), Göteborg, Sweden

Pours a nice sparkling red with a pervasive light-pink head. The aroma is dominated by diacetyl; behind this, some cherry, some musty cellar, some hippo-house.
The flavor is tart but not overwhelmingly so, musty but not strikingly so, way too much artificial-butter-flavoring, and I have to agree with SilkTork that this one comes off as dull relative to some of the better examples of the style.
Nevertheless, it’s a passable offering and given the magnitude of reported variation I won’t mind trying another bottle at some point down the road, at least not if I can get it for something similar to the 2.30 pounds I paid here here Britain.

Hints of cherry in the background dwarfed by the scents of butter. Combination lends itself of a cherry-pie taste that is quite pleasant. joergen (8635), Frederiksberg, Denmark
