Poured a ruby, garnet color with a medium sized pink head and light lacing on the glass. Buttery brett, vinegar, and sweet cherry aroma. Sweet dominated this, though a fair amount of balancing tartness is there as well. Cherry and light raspberry finish. A smooth, easy drinking kriek. Thanks Mads. Hunsell (400), Amsterdam, Netherlands

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 21, 2004 Bottled. Purchased at Hop Duvel in Gent. Cloudied magenta with a foamy pink head. Nose is soft cherry with light spices, wood and some hints of sugar. Taste is sweeter cherry flavors along with light wood, yogurt (lactic) notes and spices. For some reason this seems really Christmasy of holiday-like. Maybe kind of like Quelque Chose. Body is light and only mildy tart with almost no acidity. Finish is cherry pits, some sucrose and light hint of cherry cheesecake. Seemingly a dessert lambic! chriso (4852), London, Greater London, England
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 12, 2004 This was a rather shocking bright pink colour and had a most unexpected toffee aroma. Settled down on the palate to reveal clean, citric, fruity and tart elements, but not that sour. I’ve tried a number of fruit lambics and have invariably found I enjoyed the straight lambics and gueuze from the same producer more. This one was no exception. A bit of a disappointment. Bottled.

Sweet black cherries in aroma with notes of wood and lactic acidity. Lot’s of black cherries in flavour. Hin’t of maringue, oak with a subtle tartness. Full and natural. Rich fruity aftertaste with traces of oak. Quite good! Engelsmann (653), Copenhagen, Denmark
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 6, 2004 Ruby red, with a nice tan/offwhite head. Aroma is intense cherries, a litle oak with just a whiff of the bretanomyces components. Taste is of cherries, and have surprisingly litle sourness. The aftertaste is quite long, and thats where the horse blanket materializes itself.
All in all, A kriek worth the effort, but still a bit from perfect jfm (1695), Holbæk, Denmark

Dark pink, fluffy off-white head. Clean aroma, light cherry and not much else. Interesting first sip, heavy on the cherry, almost like fruit yoghurt, but it’s never too sweet. Light dryness, but not too tart, sourt or acidic.
