| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 6, 2008 37.5 cl bottle. Pours a pink tinged orange body with a off-white foamy tight bubbled head that had pretty good retention. Nice sweet and slightly sour cherry nose with a little chocolate and woody notes. The flavor is fairly tart with a little acidity and some rich chocolate covered cherries. A little sweetness on the back end with some subtle gueuze like funkiness and yeast. Medium bodied with nice pinpoint fizzy effervescent carbonation. A little syrupy and clingy up front but it dries out a bit on the finish leaving behind some tart cherry notes. Overall, a decent enough beer, it’s not up to par with the funkiness of the top tier Krieks, but it wasn’t anywhere near sickly sweet like many of the wanna be Krieks like Lindemans. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 16, 2008 Courtesy of Yespr. Dark red, hazy with a slightly pink and lasting head. The aroma is initially very sharp and sour, but after a while it’s more mellow and leaves room for notes like raisin, cherries and yeast. The flavour has sweetness and sourness, notes of yeast, cherries, raisin and it’s actually surprisingly sweet, even if the lambic character still is there. Rune (2850), Tromsø, Norway

Recommended by Hildigöltur and served at the right drinking temperature. Reddish body. Missing head. Plain aroma of cherries. Fruit-acidic profile with wheat and cherries. Bittersweet palate and medium mouthfeel. Alright, and refreshing on a very warm day in the city, but still not my kind of beer (02.06.2008). ChristianScheffel (4670), Odense, Denmark

Barnyard aroma with grassy notes, and some cherry. Tart cherry flavour with a rich fruityness. Easy drinker, yet real lambic feel. The world would be a better place if supermarkets had 5L lambic-in-a-box...
