Keg (ZBF2008)
Red, tiny head. Slightly cherry aroma, but not much else. Toffee taste, and a bit watery. Refreshing but a little sweet. Fortunately it did have some acidic sourness to cut through the sweetness, which saved it.

2008-02-29. Hazy dark red-brown body with a massive foamy beige head. Funky, sour ground beef is an unexpected first impression that does not return. Cherry is sweet and does not imply much sourness within. Notes of funky wet socks. (6+) Sweet cherry flavour, muted underlying malt. Sweet cough syrup like cherry at times. Average palate. Disappointingly average. 7/4/7/3/13 - 3.4
Bottle at Kulminator, Antwerp <P>2008-03-01. Red boy with a small pinkish head. Mild aroma, sweet muted cherries, hints at sweet malt (6+) Moderately sour cherries, tart-sour finish lingers drying out the mouth. Sourness seems to escalate as the glass goes on, intensifying the cherries. Average palate. Grows on me a lot, much better than our bottled sample earlier in the trip! 6+/3/8/3/16+ - 3.7

Bottle. Small fizzy off-white head that’s diminishing. Fair lacing. Aroma of cherry, cask wood, apple and yeast (earth and musty). Light thin texture. The flavor is light sweet, heavy acidic and very lightly bitter. A dry fruity beer well balanced but not as complex, not as sour as the oude kriek.

Bottle at home. Nose is cherries and full bursting ripeness, quite sweet and woody. Mouth is sweet and smooth, fruity and juicy. Very nice.

Bottle shared by sliffy. Aroma of vanilla and cherries is absolutely delectable. Deep red in color with a nice white head. Medium palate with perfect carbonation. The taste is a blend of vanilla and cherries, lightly sour with some oak. Great flavor!
