Andava giù come l’acqua! omhper (12247), Stockholm, Sweden

Dark clear red. Aroma of black cherries. Fruity and intensely flavourful with balanced acidity. Though it is complex and very vinous, and the flavour of the cherries is just wonderful it takes a bit of the edge of the complexity of the unblended lambic, making it only slightly less superb. egajdzis (3636), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA

Taste of cherries, wood, wild yeast, raspberries, and hay. Taste of sweeter cherry, dry wood, light tartness from the wild yeast, and ultimately a nice dry finish. Really nice to sip on on a hot summer day. lachesis (759), St Idesbald, Belgium
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jun 28, 2005 Faint hazy beer with the color of blood-oranges. It is a flat beer that gives a small pink head when it is poured vigorously. The smell is very complex and refreshing. It has aroma’s of cherries, blood-oranges, tropical fruits like kiwi and unripe mango’s. In the second fase the more earthy accents are coming up. Aroma’s of barnyard, wet wood, wet hay and touches of sour yoghurt. The taste is crisp and dry with a tremendous complexity of sour red berries, sour apples and rubarbe. The cherry-tart and the woodyness brings some roundness and structure in this very original brew. The afthertaste is like havig a sample of a young Bourgundy wine from the cask. Is this the Vosne Romanée of beers? To me it is. Great stuff, at best when served straight from the cask. Dickinsonbeer (3497), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA

Pours a still deep ruby red- but mostly clear- very slight haze. Aroma is very nice fresh tart big red cherries, pitty, leather, big fresh fruit, reminiscent of a de cam or mort subite, just toned down slightly from those two. Flavor is tons of cherry with a good tannic astringency, still very balanced and drinkable- great tartness but not overly sour that you can detect, but the acidity comes back to hurt your stomach later for sure. Great clean finish- no butter, no off acids, nothing too wild- just a great lambic with tons of great sour cherries. Awesome stuff! I much preferred this to the oude lambic, but I still drank a lot of each. bierkoning (6089), La Tropica, Netherlands

Ruby red color. Cherry and almond aroma. Sweetish cherry flavor with notes of cherry pits, almond and wood. No sugary sweetness, just the sweetness of the cherry fruit, with just a dash of lemon added. As I said, magic stuff!
Cask @ De Rare Vos. Clear cherry red with reddish foam. Cherry, almonds and wood in the aroma. Cherry sweet flavor with some almonds and wood. Just a hint of sourness. A marvel of balance.

Sweet, cherry, very light oak, light tart finish, flat, very soft. The sample (1 liter) I had taken home from the brewery was probably rather young but still delightfull. Not sour like other unblended lambic but very nice and easy to drink.
