Commercial Description:
The original brewed Lambic. Letting this beer age for 1, 2 or 3 years and mixing those for fresh Lambic makes a Gueuze. A Gueuze is also bottle conditioned which gives it carbonation. The Lambic however is complete flat without bubbles. Available only in draught form.

Please note the age of the sample you are reviewing when entering your rating. While many factors determine whether you have had "Jonge" or "Oude" Lambik, a general rule of thumb is to enter 1 year-old or older lambik under "Girardin Oude Lambik" and anything less than 6 months-old under "Girardin Jonge Lambik".

For those between 6 and 12 months of age, you should take in to consideration the character of the lambik. Samples presenting themselves as hazy/cloudy, with some head-formation and residual sugar should be entered as "Jonge Lambik", while those that are drier, higher in clarity and with little/no head formation should be entered as "Oude Lambik". If in doubt, message JorisPPattyn.

From Ølbutikken. Pours golden-red with no head. Aroma is vague, but dry with a nice sweetness and notes of wood, citrus and apples. The flavour is dry and a little sweet with notes of wood at first, followed by sour fruitiness and a bitter/sour after taste. Its quite watery on the palate, due to the lag of carbonation.

Shared by Dickinsonbeer by way of Puzzl I believe. Thanks Paul and Andy. I’m getting oxidation here with a very light funkiness.

BCTC. Many thanks to the incredible generosity of the RB crowd. Thanks puzzl. Pinkish pale amber. Sour cherry leather aroma. Leathery sour cherry hay flavor. NIce internal carbo. Good.

Spændende at prøve.

Had this from Ølbutikken in coopenhagen where it just has arrived from Belgium where it was tapped 4-5 days ago Pour is campletely clear golden - almost like a dark apple cider or a fine single malt. The nose is fresh with aples, white wine-vinegar and dirt. The tste is mild and watery at first before hidding you with a pleasent bitterness. The finish is likewise pretty watery. The taste is buttery with cidric notes and young grapes and grapefruits. Pretty nice
