kappldav123 (882), Markkleeberg, Germany Apr 17, 2008 The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Fine, almost smoky aroma. Tastes malty and a littte bit fruity, finish a little bit too malty, nevertheless a really good schwarzbier!

OK beer. yngwie (3322), Kristiansand, Norway Mar 9, 2008 Bottle. A clear, reddish brown beer with a beige head. Malty caramel aroma with a roasted touch. Caramel and roasted malt in the flavor, very low on bitterness, and quite one-dimentional. Medium body and a finish with roasted malt and caramel. Decent, but weak for a schwarzbier. (080215) sk8viking (6028), Copenhagen, Denmark Feb 21, 2008 Bottle. A deep red beer/almost black, with a big beige head. The aroma and taste is of roasted malt, light caramel notes and some fruit. Medium body with a roasted finsh. Grovlam (2909), Copenhagen, Denmark Oct 19, 2007 0,5 L bottle with courtesy of Papsoe. Nice light brown thick head that mostly diminished. Flat and mahogany colored. Good display of lacework. Aroma of burned malt, grain, caramel and light fruity notes as well. Over the palate a light mix of coffee, chocolate, liquorish and brown sugar appears. Hint of hoppy notes as well. Quit nice. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and light dry texture. Somewhat tingling texture. Well balanced bitter and sweet malty flavor. Light burned bitter finish that lingers. Very drinkable Schwarzes.
