Commercial Description:
Aged in Jim Beam barrels. “Drunken Pumpkin pie in your face” best describes this fall brew. Our brewers combined 159 pounds of pumpkin with a plethora of spices. Flavors of bourbon, pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, and clove dominate. Served in a snifter.

Crystal clear amber with a tight tan head. Strong aroma is pumpkin pie spices with pumpkin flesh. Medium body. Heavy spice flavors of nutmeg and allspice goes down very smooth. Has a taste of pumpkin flesh in the middle, then a spicy buttery taste to finish. Draft@ Glacier.

Pumpkin orange color with a creamy topping. A warming front greets and pleases the nose with nutmeg, cloves, rounded out by cinnamon. While the flavor cannot match the aroma, the dry nutmeg quality dominates. Alcohol helps bring the spices to the forefront. An outstanding pumpkin beer, far and ahead the best one at Elysian’s 2007 Pumpkin Fest.

Clear, light amber. Aroma of cloves and spice. Pumpkin is drowned out by nutmeg and cloves. Not much of a fan.

(Draught) Sampled at Elysian Pumpkin Beer Festival on October 20, 2007. Foamy white head with an orange body. Nose of chai latte. Very strong nutmeg. Very sweet pie au max. Too much.

Bright amber. Lovely aroma - a delicate mix of spices, florals, calabash, caramel and noble hop (ok, it’s actually Northern Brewer). On the palate its quite a bit flatter - gourd, then caramel then a subtle spice. The yeast character has all but disappeared.
