Mar 9, 2008 ZBF2008: From tap. Pours slight hazy hazzlenut brown with a lacing tan head. Mild roasted malt, slight butterish and with a mild yeast note. Flavour is caramel malt, slight acidic to citric note. Mild roasted note. Descends into a mild roasted and mild yeast spiced finish.

Sep 22, 2007 (750ml bottle, dated 4/28/07) Hazy copper body with large head that yields a frothy lacing. Aroma is moderately sweet, flower/perfume, some berry, alcohol, light plum. Taste is moderately sweet, berry, some bread/caramel, plum. Some alcohol, especially in the finish, light burn. Medium-full body with light effervescence. A bit boozy.

Under average dubbel that lacks definition and confidence.
I like:
Big off-white head. Good lacing. Limited sweetness. Fair floral hop kick.
I dislike:
Timid aroma. Quite mineral. Vegetal and apple undertones. Light body. Biting carbonation. Raw, dull yeast dominates. Expensive price.

Mar 18, 2008 Bottle at ZBF08. Roasted flavour with some fruitiness. Clear dark brown colour. Some barley sourness, not too bad though. Long bitter finish, slightly slour.
