ratman197 (2358), Arvada, Colorado, USA May 23, 2006 Growler poured a clear pale copper with a lasting ivory head. Aromas of carmel, mild earthiness and a hint of grass. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, earthiness, straw and a bit of grassiness with a smooth lingering mildly bitter finish. Aubrey (2614), Denver, Colorado, USA May 23, 2005 Draft at brewery: After having spent a few days in the Utah desert, perhaps it was my elation and overall good mood, but this beer was beautiful-looking. It had a light caramel hue, coupled with a frothy and very lasting head. Body wasn’t as impressive (a little light and slightly overcarbed), but it still wasn’t too bad. Malts were nicely toasted and a little sweet. Hops were earthy and a little grassy, and they provided a nice level of bitterness to round things out. Easy-drinking and very quaffable English pale.
