ChristianSA (368), Copenhagen, Denmark Jun 28, 2007 Screw cap bottle. Pours with a big lasting cream colored head dragging nice lace on a copper colored muddy looking beer. Aroma is dominated by harsh vinegar-like acidity - almost like a cleaning agent. Let it stand for a few minutes and then nicer aromas of chamomile and marzipane reveals itself. The flavor presents itself with banana, citrus and more marzipane with light hints of butter and fruit bons-bons. It reminds a lot of Belgian ales - and is in fact more Belgian than many Belgian ales! Nice mouthfeel and not too powerful carbonation. Finish with butterscotch and caramel with no real bitterness. An interesting WeizenBock, which would have scored a lot higher if the aroma has been pleasant.
