harrisoni (5474), Ashford, Kent, England Apr 11, 2006 Cask handpull at Dering Arms, Pluckley. Badged as Dering Ale. Deep copper, lasting white head. Extremely malty and hoppy. Orange/tangerine fruit, somewhat like candied fruit with smack of bitter hops on end. One of the best pints of this that I’ve had in a time. Seems to have more of the fine light ale about it than the dark. Distinctive Goacher’s aroma and just slightly acidic in the mouth chriso (4420), London, Greater London, England Oct 5, 2004 This was sold as "Shipwrecked" but is probably the same as Goachers Special, a session bitter supplied for rebadging as a house beer as it has the same ABV and I can’t find any other reference to Shipwrecked. The colour was a deep amber coppe5r. Fruity, with a good ration of balancing hop bitterness. Quite a lot of dry malt in evidence. Bittersweet finish. Cask (gravity dispense) at the Shipwrights Arms, Faversham.

Beer in good condition. Orange colour. Soft, soon vanishing head. Gentle, natural carbonation. Medium bodied with light tangerine flavour with enough rough edges to provide character, plus hints of oak. Sweet Marris Otter aroma with a touch of caramel. Initial soft finish but returns with a gentle dry bitterness. Good session ale. [3.2]
