Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, bristol 1/4/08. Deep gold colour with a decent white head. Aroma was pretty fruity with some apricots, mandarins and earthy hops. Flavour had some sweet biscuit malt before an enjoyably bitter finish. Good.

Cask conditioned at The Lamb & Flag, Oxford. Darkish gold with white head. Rich and fruity beer, darkly roasted malt with a rich tea biscuit flavour then a touch of peach and fleshy fruit. Short on the finish. Fair.

Hand pulled at the Wellington, Birmingham. The Goffs website says this is a Porter, but I watched it being pulled from the correct pump, and this was definitely Golden! Dark gold, flat, with no head. Floral hop aroma. A smooth and evenly distributed hop flavour, with some pineapple. Only on the finish is a little dry malt exposed. On the better side of average.
