wheresthepath (210), Buckinghamshire, England May 16, 2008 [on draught at the 3B’s, Reading] Poured a golden colour with a moderate, very white head which slowly reduced - appearance of a pilsener (my friends actually said "how come you’ve bought a lager then?"). The carbonation is pleasantly soft. A sweet malty aroma and foretaste were quickly overtaken by a soaring bitterness with oaky overtones, reminding me more of an IPA than a bitter. I’m not usually a fan of very bitter ales, but this one worked really well for me - a very refreshing summer ale; great work guys. fonefan (4324), Ulfborg, Denmark Feb 4, 2008 Cask (handpump) @ Wellington, Birmingham B2, UK. Clear medium to dark orange color with a average, frothy / creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting / diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light malty, caramel, light hoppy, citrus, lime shell. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium to light, texture is oily, carbonation is soft / flat. Aroma of floral hops and hay. Flavour of grassy hops with some accompanying toffee sweetness that was Kellerbier like. Very enjoyable. Ungstrup (11031), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 3, 2007 Cask at GBBF 2006. An orange beer with a beige head. The aroma is sweet fruity with a light touch of diacethyl. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of honey, and lesser notes of malt and a flowery hop. Mungo (2474), Southampton, Hampshire, England Jul 19, 2006 Cask conditioned @ Humble Plum, Soton. A bit of a doughy malt start. There are a few hops in here but mostly felt in the moderately bitter finish which leaves the beer a bit too malt focused for me.
