| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 31, 2003 This beer has a nice tan head with a rich dark colour. The beer has hints of roasted coffee and almost a grape scent to it. Included in the flavour is also roasted coffee and malts. The body is a little watery and the finish is the same. Altogether a average dark ale. Good non the less! CapFlu (3483), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada

Pours a thin almond head and a very dark reddish-brown body. Aroma of strong malt and floral hops. Flavours of caramelized malt, smoky and hoppy. Lightly carbonated feel with a slight bitter finish. Very good. Cartoonkhaki (1150), Brantford, Ontario, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 18, 2003 Sweet malt hop aroma. Very dark reddish amber. Thick light brown foam that goes to a thin lace around the edge of my glass. Malt, sweet dark caramel with a very, very subtle roasted bitternes. I can almost taste the alcohol when the bitter aftertaste kicks in. Creamy, smooth, bitter in the finish. Refreshing though. There is nothing overpowering about it and it relativly mild all the way through.
