Probably not the best idea to follow a Pale Lager with a Pale Lager. Oh well. Pours a clear pale gold with an average size frothy white head. Aroma of grain and corn, of course, along with some sugar, bread and light hops. Flavour of grain, some sugar, sweet malt, light grassy hops and a corny, slightly unpleasant finish. Average bodied. Not the worst, it’s actually O.K. for a Pale Lager, but it’s not something I’d drink again. tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Grainy aroma with hints of citrus. Good taste - fresh crisp malt (lots of malt for the style) and some subtle citrus hops in the background. Quite dent actually. I’ll take the on tap version (if it is the same beer or not) but this is just fine and well worth it for the low price. chops (60), Brantford, Ontario, Canada

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 30, 2008 Drank from bottle. Fruity aroma - banana, pear, and "sour Shreddies." Flavour is quite grainy. Some citrus and banana hits the tongue as well. Medium bodied (avoids being watery). Leaves little aftertaste and the mouth feeling clean. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 24, 2008 Bottle from the brewery- Pours a deeper shade of gold, with a medium sized white cap. No real retention to speak of but nice lacing. The aroma is grainy upfront, but there is some lemony citrus notes with bread and grass. The flavour profile is similar to the kings with the lemon and hay/grass notes, but this is heavier on sweet malt, and the finish is thicker, and it finishes justa touch grainy and maybe a little cloying. Still better than anything the macros are throwing at us. HogTownHarry (4025), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada

Sugary and grassy aroma, hint of pool liner. Tastes like generic Canadian lager, sugary, weedy, a hint of grains - fairly clean, actually, it started to go down pretty smooth. Slightly syrupy body, lightly carbonated, a little dead on the palate, but all in all not that bad - basic, but no chemical burn or harshness. matt7215 (996), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada
