| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 2/10 | 3/5 | 5/20 | May 8, 2009 I apparently rated this one under their retired Oatmeal Stout by accident. This is a bad tasting beer with a great presentation. It is as opaque as 12 mil black plastic sheeting and tastes as if they used some of that sheeting in the brewing process. I think I will pour the rest of this one... ugh..

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 15, 2009 Draught. Pours opaque with a small, rocky, tan head, mostly diminishing with spare lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (chocolate, toasted grain), light hop (herbs), average yeast (leather) with notes of dates, figs, prunes, and tar. Full bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, moderate sweetness and bitterness, light acidity. ratman197 (3222), Arvada, Colorado, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 11, 2009 Bomber poured a translucent deep dark brown nearly black with a small diminishing tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, oatmeal, bakers chocolate, light tar and light licorice. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a watery finish.. Flavors of roasted malt, dark chocolate, light licorice, light smoke and a hint of tar with a smooth watery lingering roasty finish. Would be a better beer if it had more body.
