Kevin (1765), Colorado, USA Jun 9, 2008 Bottle. Pours black without much head. Strongly roasty nose with a dark chocolate note. Very thin. Acidic roast and cardboard. Definitely an oxidized bottle. I’ll try to find another bottle sometime to see if this is an aberration. Tastes like coffee watered down with iced tea. I’m surprised how bland this is compared to the aroma.

donovan1983 (43), Denver, Colorado, USA Nov 13, 2007 22oz bottle. Pours black with a very small tan head. Sweet aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, and some coffee. Roasted malt flavour with chocolate and coffee, with a burnt malt flavour following quickly. I could do without the burnt malt flavour as well as the plastic and metal tastes that show up. The finish is of burnt malt with some bitterness. With every sip it becomes more unpleasant. Under-carbonated with a thin mouthfeel. The best part of this beer are the appearance and aroma, it’s all downhill from there. It’s going to be a challenge finishing this bomber. ChrisJ (98), Denver, Colorado, USA Oct 28, 2007 22 oz bottle. Aroma is pleasent coffee chocalte notes of earth roasted malts.
