Sep 17, 2002 Excellent zippy aroma, with a lot of amber malt character. A fruit-powdery and woody, but tame flavor. Thin palate.

Aug 5, 2002 Wonderful full malty aroma with a touch of yeastiness...Color a deep amber with good healthy head...Flavor also features a fairly sweet malt base, but hops are in full support, at least initially. Unfortunately, the finish is relatively tame--the initial robustness fades into a smooth but bland farewell. Still, quite good...I’ll certainly give it another hoist in the future.

Apr 28, 2002 Firm hops, nice malty flavor. There is a strong buttery-diacetyl flavor that is pervasive but not particularly unpleasant, this tastes to me very much like a scottish ale.
