Light film of head & lacing. The aroma is malty with caramel/diacetyl and faint hops. The flavor is nutty, briefly sweet with an almost Velveeta fudge finish. Odd. Not too bad though, easy to drink. Kind of expected this to be an old bottle as it was bought on closeout at a grocery outlet. beerguy101 (3946), Newark, California, USA

A medium bodied Pale ale. Hoppy and slightly bitter. Some malt sweetness. Nice flavor. Good taste. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 19, 2001 Heady, with an almost-clear/slightly hazy, golden color. Packed a real ’wholesome’ flavor; slightly yeasty with an interesting malty twinge. Finishes with a sweet-caramel-malt edge. Some fruity esters, couldn’t quite put my finger on (I’d agree with ’weeicemon’ on the ’canned peaches’ flavor, now that I think of it). Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA

A little too sweet overall. joet (1709), Fulton, California, USA

Nice enough appearance for a golden ale..slightly hazy golden beer with a nice sized pure white head.
Very "cotton candy" like aroma..lot of sugars it appears this beer hasn't survived as well as the Amber under the harsh gorocery store lights.
..Not good medicinal sugar taste..think this is definatly a dead beer..some faint malt.
too sweet on my tongue.
Not very drinkable..but who knows it might have been a good beer at one time. booyaatribe (453), Chicago, Illinois, USA
