May 27, 2007 On tap. Very slight diacetyl aroma. Brown with a white head. Diacetyl is even more pronounced in the flavor. Roasted and chocolatety. Long bitterness to the finish.

Jul 2, 2006 On tap at Golden Valley Brewery. Dark brown, much darker than I’d think for a brown ale. Pure coffee and chocolate taste fades to nothing quickly. This is a beer that thinks it’s a porter, and does a bad imitation. Also, under-carbonated. Props to the company for trying something organic, but this isn’t a good example.

Off brown colored brew with a light head. This had good malt to hops balance and the flavor was very nice and easy to drink. Finally they did something off the path and made a good beer with some flavor. Good Job…

May 15, 2006 Brown, and cloudy, slightly unfiltered, with a small tan head. Musty, malty nose, notes of caramel and toffee. Overall very light and somewhat watery on the palate.
