Commercial Description:
Huge amounts of Carastan and Crystal malts impart a mighty complex and perfectly malted and raosted Two-Row barley for the true beer lover to savor. The massive malt components are delicately balanced and refined with a generous hopping of Chinook, Liberty, and Fuggles, and dry-hopped with Kent Goldings for an aromatic finish. This particular batch was barrel-aged in oak for 30 days.

On tap at the 2007 Holiday Ale Festival. This was the first beer I went for, I love Tannen Bomb, although I just didn’t find myself enjoying this. The barrel really took over, leaving muddled malt flavor followed by a big oaky bitter finish. One thing I really enjoy about Tannen Bomb is the warm maltiness, which I felt were dried out and bittered away by the oak.

At Holiday Ale Fest 2007 (Portland, OR)--Poured a burnished amber-copper body with a medium-sized off-white head. Nutty, oaky, malty flavor that lingered on the tongue. Rich, spicy, chewy textures unfold as beer gradually warms up. Excellent winter warmer!
