On tap at Golden Valley Brewery. Yellow-orange (not copper like the APA.) Closed nose. Heavy hop flavour, but, as advertised, not over bitter.

[Tap – Brewery] A golden colored beer with a good head. This had the IPA feel but felt light. Yes, they said it was not bitter but it was lacking of the real essential IPA hops. Not over powering Northwest IPA. It was good but not too style. Needed more to be a great beer in my humble opinion.

From a 22 oz. brown bomber bottle with a short blurb on the right side of label, no bottled/freshness date. Made an average appearance, poured a cloudy orange with a fizzy white head that slowly evolved into a small foamy head then back down to a thin lacing, very minimal amount of sticking, moderate carbonation overall. Had a slight piney and grapefruity citric nose, a little earthiness as well with hints of a sweet maltiness. A crisp, lightly hop textured and smooth medium bodied mouth feel, above average drinkability. Soft piney and citric hoppiness that is followed by an earthy hop bitterness, mild and rolling on the tongue bitterness, a little punch fruitiness, a subtle lightly sweet maltiness and a dry piney/citric finish with the earthy hops lingering in the palate. An above average NW IPA, mildly tasty and balanced overall, but not even close to a top twenty AIPA in my view.

I have had a mixed success rate with this brewer so here goes .. 22 oz bomber. NOt a vert attractive beer at all when poured into my glass :dull, lacklustre pale orange with a small unattractive bubbly head. Aroam is mainlly hoppy but quite subdued compared to other IPAs..slightly spruce like...some maltiness. Taste is quite sweet with a good showing of the malts..the hops for my taste, are rather weak and wishy washy. Mouthfeel is alright..there is a pleasant mildly bitter aftertaste. So once again Golden Valley fail to impress me..not that this was a bad beer..it just didnt strike me as something i would tell a friend about.

Nice amber orange color with a bit of a haze to it,small off white head that fades quickly leaving little behind. The aroma was lightly malty with a decent hop showing a bit of grapefruit and pine as well. The flavor was pretty decent, mildly sweet with a nice malt side good showing from the hops with a nice bitterness, not really over powering in any way but drinkable and worth another try but only if there was a lack of better brews in the style from another brewer.

This is a very typical IPA nothing special, light floral and fragrant with your average flavors and mouthfeel, enjoyable but nothing special to seek out.

Reddish orange in color with a floral aroma that I found inticing. Thought it was more of a light body then a medium body beer. Finishes smooth then the hops comes into play. Not too bitter, but enough to make you want to take another sip to come back to the clean beginning.

Bottle. Pours a crystal clear, medium amber color. Nice off-white head which lingers for a good time and leaves very good lacing. Aroma is very floral and herbal. Very tea-like. Lighter side of medium bodied with pleasant carbonation. First taste leave almost a void of flavor, slowly there is a hop bitterness that builds but never overwhelms. Bits of soapy flavors. Fair.
