Aroma is of pine, grassiness, and grapefruit. Flavors start out with some bittersweet orange, then some pine, and a grapefruit finish with a strong malt backbone. A bit thin bodied. Good refreshing English/PNW style crossover IPA. TChrome (1299), Bedford, Texas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 4, 2004 Ligt orange color with a nicely retained off white colored head. Lots of particles suspended in the beer. Big hop aroma resembling grapefruit. Flavor is in line with the aroma with a massive shot of graprfruit juice. Not a lot of malt to balance the bitterness, but pretty tasty beer nonetheless. bhensonb (4276), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 1, 2007 Bomber from Liquid Solutions. Firm citrus aroma backed by a bit of roasted malt. Slightly hazy orange amber color with a head that never really arrived. Medium body with fizzy carbonation. The flavor is citrus hop fairly well balanced with caramel malt. Grapefruit is noticeable. Very nice feel. The finish is less than dry but really set off by decent bitter. This may be underrated, or perhaps I got lucky with this bottle. beerguy101 (3907), Newark, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 8, 2004 Medium gold color. Medium white foamy head. Aroma is floral and piney. A light to medium bodied IPA. Malts are nutty and fruity sweet. Hops are grapefruity and a touch piney. Hoppy, but its really more in the English style than a PNW India Pale Ale. Nicely balanced. Very smooth. Crisp dry finish. I guess you could call this a nice PNW interpretation of an English IPA. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is bitter. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 9, 2004 Amber color, lots of sticky lacing and small off-white head. Fresh worty hops present but not assertive, tons of cascade aromas and flavors. Comes out a little herbal and sweet, not too bitter at all. Lots of dry hopping gives this an interesting balanced for an IPA. blutt59 (2114), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 30, 2004 The beer after its relocation from the 22-ounce brown bottle set s in my glass a hazy amber color with a smallish semi-creamy light tan head that evaporates quickly leaving a thin but covering sheet of lace. Nose has a light floral aroma, mostly malt detected, fresh and clean, start is sweet with a personable malt profile and the top medium in its feel to the palate. Finish is politely acidic with the hops pleasantly spicy and the aftertaste dry, a light to middle of the road IPA, drinkable at any rate.
