Commercial Description: Cote d'Or is French for "golden slope," and you might feel yourself slipping after too many of these. Strong yet refreshing, malt flavors predominate in this Belgian-style golden ale. Estery notes linger on the palate, and barrel aging on neutral Chard Barrels imparts soft notes of vanilla.
On tap at OBF 2008--Orange-golden body with a thick white head. Clove-banana phenolic esters. Sweet, crisp, yeasty. Sharp bite of malts and alcohol. Not bad.
