Poured a clear dark brown with a large tan head. Smokey and plasticy phenolic notes. When I took a deep breath it smelled like sour feet. The flavor was tart with a hint of roast. Light bodied. I am guessing this is an infection and not intended.

Pours an opaque with dark brown edges and a frothy dark tan head. Aroma of cherry tartness and some lightly roasted malts. Body starts light and fizzy with a touch of sweet dark caramel before sourness takes over toward a warming slightly acidic finish. Seems like it would be a nice porter were it not as acidic.

22 oz. bottle shared with Padrefan98. Nice chocolate aromas off this almost black pour with no head. No head due to a very small amount of carbonation. Flavors were some roastiness with a strange bitterness on the finish. Average...

22 oz bottle thanks to degarth. Poured a dark black with no head. Smells of roasted chocholate. Average porter, but good.

(Bottle) Dark in color, taste is more similar to a stout than a porter. Lacked any distinguishing flavor characteristics, and in fact, the lingering taste wasn’t that great. But I like Golden Valley, and appreciate their effort.

(Bottle) Pours a dark brown body with a large creamy tan head. Aroma of sweet chocolate, roastiness, smoked sausage, and milk. Flavor of roasted malt, smoke, and slight vinous.

22oz bottle from Degarth - Pours dark brown with a short offwhite head that fades pretty quick. Aromas of coffee, roasted malts, and some chocolate. Flavor is light coffee, chocolate and roast as well as some raisin. Palate is on the watery side with a bit much carbonation for me.
