Ungstrup (11353), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 25, 2008 Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a thin lazing off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of wine, spices, and hops. The flavor is sweet with strong ntoes of chardonnay and wood - very sweet and very complex, leading to a dry woody finish. Matured in an Argyle barrel. argo0 (6229), Washington DC, USA Jul 30, 2004 (OBF04) Beige head, light copper body. Aroma is medium sweet, grapefruit/floral, some grape, melon. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, light grape. Medium body. hopdog (4645), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 10, 2008 750ml bottle. Poured a medium amber color with an averaged sized off white head. There were a ton of floaters in the bottle and pour. Aromas of earthiness, floral, wood, and had a light vinous character. Tastes of vanilla, citrus, caramel, citrus, and lighter earthiness. This was a decent beer but in my opinion, a little over priced at $25 a bottle. BückDich (4558), Boise, Idaho, USA Feb 24, 2006 750ml Bottle: Mahogany color, nice carbonation level with a light head and decent lacing. The nose is ripe with brett and oak, sweet fruity grapes blend with the hops. Sweet wheat grass and light bitterness flavors with the continuing fruity theme. The finish is a bit tangy with oak and musky apple notes. Interesting beer, I think more brewers should age with white wine barrels instead of the beefy bourbon and intense cabernet sauvignon stuff. acrdz (4362), Boulder, Colorado, USA Aug 14, 2004 OBF 2004. Dark orange appearance. Spicy mild nose, very strong flavors, though. woody and just a little lemon juice thrown in there... possibly some wine flavors. Sweet orange, acidic, light nose with heavy thickness. Decent, but unbalanced.
