Dec 8, 2006 Explodes out of bottle with five+ finger cream head that fades to a ring leaving some lace. Cloudy amber color. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Hoppy/caramel nose. Starts sweet becomes balanced then slight bitter/hoppy finish. $1.40 for a 12oz bottle from Liquid Solutions Tigard, Or.

Oct 29, 2006 Bottle.
Pours orange brown with a nice head, but dang, this one is is infected as well. Sour infected aroma and flavor, like lambic gone bad, astringent bitterness as well. Yuck. Drain pour.

Jul 2, 2006 On tap at Golden Valley Brewery. Reddish-copper. Smoked malt flavours, quick finish. Similar to a Smithwick’s, but a touch weaker and thinner. IT was obvious why this is their ’flagship beer’ - it’s one of the few worth the time.

Slightly reddish colored brew with a good head. Seemed to try t o have a complex amount of flavors this was becoming even a better beer for this brewery. They defiantly keep the flavor for the masses and not a specific type of brew. Not too bad.

Mar 25, 2006 A bit of an empty flavor in my opinion. Lacks any real hop element, but has a sweet malt flavor that makes it extremely easy to down. Maybe a good session beer, but nothing to write home about.

Jan 2, 2006 For a flagship beer I expected more from this. It was just too light for my taste. That does not mean it is a bad beer, I just expected more from it. A nice malt complexity and some nice hop varieties are showcased here, and it is very easy to drink.

Oct 26, 2005 On tap at the brewery. Came reddish orange color with a creamy head. Earthy overtones that beg to be tried. Starts with a complex taste of the malts and finishes mildly hoppy. I enjoyed the sampler so much I had to have a pint.

Oct 10, 2005 (12 oz bottle: Liquid Solutions in Tigard, OR) Sour and bitter, looks like I got another infected bottle form Golden Valley. It appears to have a moderate maltiness similar to an amber ale, but it’s pretty much lost behind the sourness. Actually, the nose is even more sour than the flavor. Body is light-medium, but there’s not much point in talking about the mouthfeel when the beer’s infected. Ruddy amber in color with a modest haze to it. The off-white head pours to a half inch, and settles to a wide ring. Hopefully I’ll be able to get another bottle some day.
