Aug 15, 2005 On tap at the brewery. Pours a very clear copper with a smooth off-white head. Malty throughout with a kinda earthy/dry flavor to the malts and a light toastiness. Finishes with a nice blend of hops to balance it out.

Jul 15, 2005 Hazy red with and off white head. Slightly sour aroma that suggests a mild Belgian Sour ale. Tart flavor with some caramel and hops. Astringent at the end. I think this is a bit off.

Mar 27, 2004 Aroma is pretty subdued ..but what there is ,is fresh and mostly malty.
Nice looking beer dark brown with a large light tan head..great lacing..
The flavour is pretty simple..slightly roasted malts and a mellow hop aftertaste.
I actually liked that this beer was low carbonated..helkped in drinkability for me..
Reminded me rather of a simple Scottish ale.

Feb 28, 2004 I'm not a big amber fan anyway, but this bites. It has no redeeming qualities, IMO.
Pours a mahogany color with little head even after a vigorous pour and no lacing.
Smell is faint, but it's malty.
Taste is malty with a hint of hops. It's balanced so maybe I should score it a *Iittle* higher, but it's not even average. There's very little character here and it certainly isn't complex at all.
Mouthfeel is on the watery side. There's a bit of mineral feel to it but the lack of carbonation keeps that score low as well. Drinkability? Gee, guess.

Feb 9, 2004 Deep amber color, lots of creamy white head, sticky lacing. Hoppy notes, lightly medicinal & malty with some diactyl thrown in. The flavor is somewhat astringent & dry but still balances the flavors well. Finishes medium bodied. Overall not bad. I had this out of a bottle at the brewpub as opposed to draught because they were out of it.
