Very attractive pour. Strong caramel malt aroma. Slightly hazy reddish amber color. Frothy beige head that might lace, if it ever starts to collapse. Starts with sweet malt, accompanied by stone fruit and hop. This is more about malt than hop, and that’s probably appropriate for this style. It stays the lighter side of sticky, and it disquises the alcohol very well. The finish tends toward well balanced, and a very pleasant bitter (along with a bit of sweet fruit) remains in the mouth. Good one.

Very cloudy read beer with almost no head. I had a bottle of this about six months ago, and I recall a much more malty, lightly spiced brew. With age, this one’s mostly lost its hop and even the sweet malts have abated and left behind something like tart dried fruits. I’m giving this decent marks on the strength of the earlier bottle, but this one’s not so hot. Will rerate if I get a chance to retry.

12 oz bottle. Aroma is like a fresh sweet caramel apple. Deep red body with off white head. Body had just enough mix of malt and bitterness. Sweet candy flavors along with some spicey bitterness. Good on the palate the bitterness lingers abit. Good Brew.

Draft: pours a dark red color with a 1 finger off-white head. Aroma of sweet malts, some dried fruit and a little citrus/floral hops. Flavor is quite malty sweet and a fairly thick creamy body. There is light dark fruit flavors and then a strong hop bite with plenty of bitterness to back up the malty sweetness. Huge malt sweetness with big hop bitterness. Kind of like an imperial Amber. Pretty damn good evening drinker.

Very malty brew. The body’s a somewhat hazy caramel and the skinny ecru head haloes almost immediately. It has an aroma of caramel, some toffee, apples, and a mild herbal bitterness. That bitterness increases in the flavor, but dusty caramel and a bit of alcohol carry it. Okay.

Bottle shared by Degarth. Thanks, bro. Pours a reddish brown/ruby color, with a dirty tan head. Light lacing and medium head retention. Nose is malt, caramel, sweet fruits, herbal notes. Fore is lightly astringent, malt and caramel. The herbal notes come through to the back of the tongue. Finish is sweet, malty, and a bit smoky.

Pop the cap and smell cherry, folllowed by caramel & sour. not what I remember it being, but hey I like sour beers. slightly cloudy copper with thin tan head. smooth on the tongue at first but the sourness wears away. tastes sour, with the cherry hints, straw & alcohol
