heavy (503), Split, Croatia Oct 16, 2007 0.5 l can from Metro. Poured very murky deep yellow/orange body with moderately big white head. Aroma is really nice, banana, wheat, fruity overall. Flavor however stands much below, although not bad it’s too watery and lightly bitter which does not fit the style. Best enjoyed while drinking very slowly, then true weizen character can be felt. Moderate carbonated as felt in palate. Finish is a bit bitter, also sourish, but it all soon disappeared and that weizen sweetness left. Very good beer, didn’t have better in a while, although light for what it is. Anyway, glad I bought the sixpack. motelpogo (4124), Plzen, Czech Republic Aug 2, 2007 canned, at atlantic pizza restaurant in pilsen. quite pale, lightly hazed. muted vanilla aroma, lightly sour and pretty boring Doggythedog (1020), Split, Croatia Oct 19, 2005 0.5l can, found in a supermarket in Zagreb (ozujsko’s tip). I used to detest the idea of "hefe-in-a-can", and because of that, I missed some in Spain I shouldnt’ve. Ah, well. It poured a big thick white head that went away slowly. Deep dark orange/brown colour that was completely hazy (drank from a tulip (!), so it might be a little lighter in a "proper" glass. The nose is great; bananas, lemon, spices, and so’s the taste - banana, bubblegum, lemon, some cloves. Yes, we would have a true hidden gem here, if not for the fact that it lacks some body. With more body, it would be truly special. Oh, right, and it’s brewed by the Frankenthaler Brauhaus. ogivlado (2394), Zagreb, Croatia Jun 14, 2005 Canned(500ml). -hazy yellow, huge but quick vanishing white head, fruit nose, yeasty and fruity(banana, lemon, orange) aroma, strong acidic finish but overall nice german weizen
