| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 11, 2003 Vibrant red; light aroma – had to work hard and then only maybe found some earth, slight cherry…these were so light though that ambient aromas really are all you could expect to enjoy as a casual drinker. Predominantly caramelly, with toast, some chocolate malt and a subtley emerging bitterness. argo0 (6907), Washington DC, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 9, 2003 Berry pepper sprinkled on earth and loads of hops...In a thin body like this, this hoppy overhaul kind of buries the fact that it's not that complex...A grand Marnier-like alcohol appears, although this is not strong at all in alcohol...A puzzling wine of a bitter that should probably be billed otherwise... | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 29, 2003 On tap - Garnet red with almost no head or lacing, medium-bodied. Earthy, tart (grapefruit) aroma, nice. Taste hinted of pine and wood, some grainy undertones. Hoppy finish, soft and warming mouthfeel. Above average ESB. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 6, 2003 Reddish amber - ruby, small white head. Strangely sweet, light roasted malt, gentle bitterness. Drinkable ESB needs some more depth, slightly too soft as well. Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA

Appearance was ruby red with a slight rocky head. Palate was full bodied and smooth. Flavor was full of earthy british hops, and a nice malt backbone. of the 3 beers i had at GI, this was the best. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 8, 2003 Dark ruby red with a very light grassy aroma. Extra Special Watery (ESW) and light on all levels. Some faint grassy hops at the end preceeded by light tasting malts that do not offer much sweetness (caramel, etc). Schroppfy (1813), Ohio, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 30, 2003 Tap @ GIBC, RBSG2003. Seemed to have a bit of West-Coasty hops, but doesn't. Has some of a sweet Maris touch without the hi alch I usually associate with that malting. Graprefruit. Nice red color. No lingering head. Not as good as I had hoped.
