Commercial Description:
Brewed to honor the brave souls who kept our brew pub open in the early 90’s while wrecking balls tore down the mall around us. Dry and smooth, with a grassy, citrus aroma and a honey malt middle. Brew House notes Style: Belgian Style Golden Ale Alcohol by Volume: 6.7% IBU’s: 45 Hops: Saaz, Chinook Malt: Pilzen Cellarman’s Notes. Demolition will remain fresh 180 days from the bottled on date. Unfiltered, so a light chill haze should be expected. Some yeast may settle in the bottom of the bottle, decant gently.

On draft at the Dayton Ale Fest. Pours a nice golden yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet malts, yeast, and spice. Notes of banana, lemmon, chamomile, cinnamon, clove, and honey come out. On the palte there is a bit of carbonation dancing around as it goes down. The taste brings the banana and sweet malts. It finishes rather dry. Very interesting beer, not a favorite by any means, but worth trying again.

Pours a brilliant honey color with a medium sized frothy white head. Nose: honey suckle, clover, spice, corn polenta / cornbread, lemon. Taste is chamomile tea, lemon, bergamot, and green peas. Mouthfeel is little bubbles, with light to medium weight in the mouth and an off dry, yet slightly sweet finish.

2006 bottle poured in a snifter. Pours a clear golden yellow/orange with a thin offwhite head. Aroma is sweet malt, yeast, apples, cinnamon. Flavor is sweet malt, lots of bready yeast, honey, mild hops likely which have subdued with age. Still with plenty of carbonation in the mouthfeel which surprises me given its age. Could easily be categorized as an imperial pilsner.

Shared at DDG release party. ’06 Bottle. Lots of suspension swirling around in the glass. Hazy, bright amber. Nose is sweet hoppy and a bit of farmhouse funk. Butter! Taste is bright and sweet. Hoppy, citrus, and yeast.

Bottled at Monks Café, Wallingatan, Stockholm. Pours out in a sparkling and slightly hazy golden appearance topped with a rich sticky white foam. Authentic Duvel-like aroma of white pepper, coriander, lemon, pale malts and alcohol. Nearly full-bodied with notes of coriander, lemon, white bread and white pepper. Long dryish finish of coriander, white pepper, yeast and lemon-zest.

The beer pours out a clear golden orange color with a pillowy white head, with some nice lace work. A fruit dominant nose, with overripe bananas, candi sugar, oranges and a bit of cloves. Fruit also takes over the flavor with this beer, with citrus/pineapple juice flavor, medium honey sweetness, light floral/grassy hops. Alcohol seems a bit low for a BSA.
