Commercial Description:
Brewed to honor the brave souls who kept our brew pub open in the early 90’s while wrecking balls tore down the mall around us. Dry and smooth, with a grassy, citrus aroma and a honey malt middle. Brew House notes Style: Belgian Style Golden Ale Alcohol by Volume: 6.7% IBU’s: 45 Hops: Saaz, Chinook Malt: Pilzen Cellarman’s Notes. Demolition will remain fresh 180 days from the bottled on date. Unfiltered, so a light chill haze should be expected. Some yeast may settle in the bottom of the bottle, decant gently.

Pours a golden color with a white head. Aroma is very grainy with some biscuity notes, floral hops, and some yeast. Flavor is of citrus and floral hops, caramel, and some alcohol warming. A very delicious brew from Goose Island

Draught at Wriggleyville. Pours sparkling yellow with a small fizzy white head, somewhat diminishing, fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (grain, cereal, meal), heavy hops (flowers, perfume), average yeast (sweat) with notes of honey. Full bodied, mineral texture, soft carbonation and an astringent finish. Long duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and heavy bitterness; minerals.

Orangey-honey in color, some haze, nice initial head, weak retention for a Belgian Strong, lacing was mediocre. The aroma was yeasty, honey, light fruits. The flavor was honey, light apples, nuts, light grassy hops, and tea bags. Mouthfeel was sticky. This didn’t meet my expectations, although it wasn’t a drain pour. Re-rate, 6/07, courtesy beerded_one at SL: Slightly murky golden color. Caramel, wood, sawdust, toffee, malty, pilsy/sulfur type notes also (like the honey/saaz combo noted before?). Not bad, more like an American strong than anything Belgian. A decent creation, just not down my alley, yet a couple ticks up from my last experience. Thanks, Paul, for the re-rate!!!

12 oz bottle. 2006 vintage via Monger. Pours organgey amber with a small white head that quickly tranformed into a thin film. The aroma is hoppy, and furitty. The taste is strong, bitter and sweet. This in some ways like Allagash 11th, brings hops more to the forefront than I expect from Belgian styled brews. The hoppiness is not overwhelming but it does impact the whole taste. This is a solid brew, Beligium built up on hops.

Pours a golden color with off-white head that fades quickly. Aroma is of fruit, light sugar, caramel, and slight hop aroma. Tastes is of ligh fruit, honey, caramel and some citrus notes in the finish. Alcohol presence is subtle. Very enjoyable.

Slight fruity nose, almost nothing there. Orange yellow pour with a medium white head, dies fast. No taste up front. My taste buds must be dead. Does have a bitter ending. Pleasant warm mouth feel, very little frothyness. This brew grows on you by the bottom of the glass. A strangely good drinking ale. Not too light, not too syrupy.
