Brew House notes Style: Belgian Style Golden Ale Alcohol by Volume: 6.7% IBU’s: 45 Hops: Saaz, Chinook Malt: Pilzen Cellarman’s Notes. Demolition will remain fresh 180 days from the bottled on date. Thanks to hopdog for the trade. Pours a cloudy golden orange with a smaller bubbly white head that left some lacing. Aroma of citrus, light alcohol, prunes, yeast and ripe banana. Flavor of honey, yeast, light alcohol, dry grapes, light hop bitterness. A bit thin.

Cloudy Orange, thin white head. Aroma is tobacco with a whiff of alcohol, much like my late Uncle Joe, plus hints of raisin, prune and walnuts. Flavor is sweet, alcoholic, raisins, prunes, white wine, caramel and more alcohol. Perhaps a hint of German chocolate, too. Tasty, but ultimately too hot for my taste.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber-orange with an average size mostly lasting creamy off-white head. Aroma is fruity with lots of yeast followed by caramel malt, spices and herbal hops. Dry flavour of herbal hops, citrus and other fruit, alcohol, yeast and spices -- surprisingly bitter for the style. The alcohol could be hidden a little bit better but it’s not that bad. Medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel. It doesn’t taste that much like a Belgian style to me but it’s still a very enjoyable beer, I quite liked it.

12 Oz bottle. This beer is about as belgian as a 7-11 slurpee. Tasted like a strong golden ale, which is ok, but the label refers to this beer as a "belgian style ale". Don’t get it. Anyway, it pours a dark golden color. Very little nose. Malty, somewhat funky taste. Pretty decent, but waaaaay overrated in my opinion.

Courtesy of Secret Santa Eve! Reading the label I was expecting a Duvel clone. That’s what you expect when you hear golden Belgian with Styrian hops. Poured a hazy gold with slight orange tint, slight head. The aroma was the first thing to indicate this wasn’t a Duvel knock-off, rich with honey and bread. Loads of raisins, a touch of port, honey, bread, and a finish of hay and grass hops. Hint of alcohol. Magnificent.

Huge creamy off-white head over a hazy orange body. Sweet orange aroma with fruity yeast and bread dough. Sweet with a dry finish. Creamy palate with just a touch of alcohol. Very nice and easy drinking beer.

On tap. Poured a copper/amber color. Not much aroma to it, but there was a nice subtle yeasty smell to it. Taste was a balance of spice and hops and a sweet finish, but no intense flavors. Sort of low-key for a belgian strong, but pretty good.
